Have you ever seen a cassette tape? This is just one of the items that our grandparents used to listen to music. In this lesson, the students will not only listen, but also perform selected American Folk Songs.
The students will be able to familiarize themselves with the definition, concept, and history of American folk songs. Additionally, they will be able to perform a song chosen and provided by the tutor.
As Hans Christian Andersen said, music speaks when our words fail us. In this activity, the students will be tasked to create their own songs by means of musical symbols and perform it for the class.
